Louise Ellis LL.B (Hons)
Managing Director

Louise is the Managing Director at Kennan Doyle Solicitors, she qualified as a solicitor in 2010. She studied law at John Moores University and then went on to gain a commendation from the College of Law, Chester whilst studying her Legal Practice Course.
Louise specialises in Wills and Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters, Litigation, Conveyancing and Commercial Conveyancing.
Louise runs a busy private client department where her clients say they appreciate her friendly and down to earth approach where she takes the time to put them at ease when discussing their Wills or sometimes difficult situations surrounding Probate matters.
Stephen Brine

Stephen joined the firm in 2019 and was instrumental in the success of our Allerton office. Stephen has a longstanding client following and uses his experience to assist the firm with compliance and holiday cover.
Laura Beattie
Solicitor
Allerton/Bootle Office
Laura studied law at Newcastle University and joined the practice in 2022. Prior to joining Kennan Doyle, she worked as a paralegal in London and Leeds for 3 years. While working full-time, she studied her Legal Practice Course with an integrated Masters in Law part-time with the University of Law and obtained a Distinction. She successfully completed her training contract with Kennan Doyle and qualified as a Solicitor in November 2024.
Laura specialises in a range of private client matters, including probate (contentious and non-contentious), Wills, and Lasting Power of Attorney.
Alice McKenna
Head of Conveyancing

Alice has been a conveyancer for 40 years and has an excellent reputation in the local area.
She specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing; sale, purchase, transfer and re-mortgage. She also deals with right-to-buy transactions, company mortgages and has worked with local developers on new build projects. Alice has many long standing clients who return again and again due to the excellent service she provides.
Claire Taylor

Claire works as a Conveyancer in our Bootle office. She joined the practice in 2015.
Claire specialises in all residential conveyancing matters and is very experienced, having worked in the industry for 20 years.
Yvonne Carney
Conveyancing Assistant
Allerton Office
Yvonne is an experienced Conveyancer with many years experience and currently runs our post completion department. Yvonne specialises in most areas of residential conveyancing with a specific interest in unregistered land and first registrations.
Louise Dineley GCILEx
Conveyancing Executive
Allerton Office
Louise graduated from the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2019 and is in the process of completing her final qualifying portfolio in order to achieve chartered status.
Louise joined in April 2022 and has worked in Conveyancing for over 10 years. She specialises in residential conveyancing, sales, purchases, transfers and re-mortgages.

Michael William Kennan

Michael Kennan has now retired from the practice.

Kayleigh Adams

Kayleigh has a degree in law from Edge Hill University and hopes to continue with her studies and qualify as a solicitor.
She specialises in Will drafting, Probate and assisting on more complex probate and commercial matters.
Margaret Armstrong
Accounts Manager
Bootle Office
Margaret has over 30 years experience dealing with solicitors accounts and helps keep the firms accounting systems up to date and compliant.
She also assists with the firms HR and office management and has worked with the Bootle team for most of her career.
Ian Ellis
Legal Adviser
Allerton Office
Ian manages the reception at our Allerton office and assists clients with their initial enquiries. He also runs our Free Wills Schemes and specialises in will drafting and assisting on litigation and probate matters.
Jill Winder

Jill has worked in the Conveyancing industry for over 25 years and has been with Kennan Doyle since the opening of the Allerton Office.
Jill specialises in assisting with all aspects of residential conveyancing and is the first point of contact for new clients, quotes and updates. She receives positive feedback from our clients.

Debbie is an experienced legal cashier and assists with the day to day running and management of the firms accounts. Debbie has worked with her current colleagues for over 20 years.
Abigail Taylor

Abigail works as a Conveyancer in our Allerton Road office and joined the practice in 2023. She specialises in all residential conveyancing matters and is well experienced having worked in the industry for almost 20 years.
Abigail has settled in extremely well into our well-established conveyancing team and received excellent client feedback.
